Iberian Peninsula and its peopling by Hominids

The sixth Iberian meeting on the Quaternary takes place, as previously announced, in Gibraltar as from this Monday for three days.

The event is being hosted by the The Gibraltar Museum and will be held at the John Mackintosh Hall.

The subject of this meeting - The Iberian Peninsula and its Peopling by Hominids has been brought about by the great international interest that there is on the subject of human evolution and its dispersal throughout the Quaternary, the Iberian Peninsula as a zone of transit, habitat, and refugia of populations, and on the Strait of Gibraltar as a possible bridge between ‘temporal windows of opportunity’.

Fabian Vinet, Minister for Heritage, Culture, Youth & Sport, will officially open the meeting at 9 am.

Full programme and registration details are available on The Gibraltar Museum Website.
