Gold success for Gibraltarian fighter

Local martial arts practitioner Dylan Bocarisa won a gold medal at the recent international Ju Jitsu championship held in Ireland earlier this month.

Dylan (1st dan) won the individual weapons Kata event with sword. Brian Xerri (2nd dan) also took part in the competition.

“We are very proud of this achievement at the United Nations Ju-Jitsu championships.

Dylan impressed everyone with his performance. The local club will now be taking part at the annual Bushido championships in UK next month.”

He added that Gibraltar will be hosting the UN JJ Congress in 2008.
