Breaking News: Ministerial talks get go ahead

Talks between Gibraltar, Britain and Spain at Foregin Minister level have had teh go ahead for the autumn, although issues remain to be resolved if an airport agreement is to be reached, it emeged from talks betwen Chief Minister Peter Caruana and the Spanish Europe Minister (Bernardino de Leon) in Malaga last night.

Frontier issue raised at talks

The issue of frontier queues was raised by Mr Caruana but there were reassurances that the current situation is the direct result of industrial action by Spanish police. The Spanish Foreign Ministry is concerned at the negative effect this situation could have for current discussions.
