VOGG warn ALPEG not to block Gibraltar frontier

Local pressure group Voice of Gibraltar Group (VOGG) has called on Spanish pensioners association president Manuel Garcia Bado (ALPEG), to desist from the idea of blocking the frontier as a means of pressure on the pensions issue.

In an open letter to Sr Bado, VOGG spokesman Paul Tunbridge recalls the fishing dispute and warns that VOGG will react to any threat. He says their “forceful response will in all likelihood lead to the thousands of Spanish workers on the Rock not being able to cross the frontier that night.”

Voice of Gibraltar declare there is nothing to be gained “from antagonising Gibraltarians,” and tendering process would continue.
