New leaflet for Alameda Gardens

By Resham S Khiani

‘In touch with Nature’ is a new basic and annotated manual to the Alameda Botanic Gardens.

The leaflet just published is a colourful guide to the garden’s complex structure.

Designed by Fernando Gomez, he has included a small selection of photographs together with a short summary of the gardens.

More commonly known as the Alameda Gardens they are now managed as the Gibraltar Botanic Gardens. The guide gives a good insight into what there is to see.

The Alameda Gardens are always admired by tourists for its environment and variety of plants, trees and flowers.

In use most of the year is the ever popular Open Air Theatre which has hosted a whole series of major events such as the Miss Gibraltar Pageant, the musical Arrow, the Legend of Robin Hood, dance productions and concerts.

The leaflet is available free from the Garden Reception at the George Don Gates at the South end of Grand Parade, at the Nature Shop in Casemates and will be available at hotels and tourist information points.
