RGP Open day

Royal Gibraltar Police will be holding an Open Day on Saturday June 4th at Casemates Square as part of its 175th anniversary celebrations.

The event starts at 10am and will run until 2pm. Members of the public are encouraged to attend what promises to be “an interesting and informative day.”

An RGP spokesman said:

“On the day various departments within the Force will be holding static displays which will include a semi-rigid vessel, police motor cycles and weapons used by the Police Tactical Firearms Unit.

The Scene of Crime department will also be in attendance and will be displaying some historical photographs as a prelude to a photographic exhibition on the history of the police that will be taking place on Saturday June 18th at the Casemates Vaults.

Police officers will be in attendance at each display stand to answer any questions concerning the equipment on display or their use.

The 1st/4th Scouts Band will be playing as from noon to provide some entertainment for the day.”
