Security man arrested for Burglary

During the early hours May 10 a burglary was committed at a local licensed premises in the area of Market Place.

Royal Gibraltar police say one of the side windows of the said premises was forced open and certain items stolen.

An investigation was subsequently initiated by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, resulting in the arrest of a local resident namely Stephen Sedgwick, 35, of 1205 Euro Towers, a Security Officer trading under the business name of Protec Security Services. A search warrant was executed at his residence and the stolen property recovered.

Sedgwick was subsequently charged with one count of burglary and will be appearing at the Magistrate this morning.
