No details emerge after Caruana-Chilcott meeeting

No details of substance have emerged from the either side following the meeting in London last Friday between Chief Minister Peter Caruana and FCO representative Dominick Chilcott.

Among the items for discussion was the issue of relations with Spain including the airport and the Spanish workers pensions issue.

In reply to questions a Gibraltar Government spokesman said:

“The meeting between the Chief Minister and FCO officials led by Mr Dominick Chilcott, discussed a range of issues, including routine EU business.

The main subject under discussion was a review of the Trilateral Process to date, and the work of the Telecoms, Airport and Pensions working groups.

The meeting also reviewed the current situation in relation to the Constitutional Reform discussions; the Council of Europe Convention on Corruption, and a number of routine issues relating to financial services.”
