MoD: Unions investigate harrassment claim

Union leaders in Gibraltar are investigating allegations from members employed in the MoD that they have been subject to harassment at work following the recent industrial action, the Chronicle has learned.

A senior officer is alleged to have challenged staff as to why they had come in to work and told them that they were “locked out.” It is understood that the officer told them that they had been dismissed from work and had lost their jobs and pension rights for being in breach of contract of employment. Having asked how they gained access he is then said to have followed these statements, which had upset and disturbed staff, by challenging their behaviour in the office.
