Reform Party proposes Gibraltar MP

Reform Party of Gibraltar has reiterated its view that Gibraltar should have its own directly - elected MP at Westminster.

I really can’t understand why this is not included among the Gibraltarian proposals at the constitutional talks in London. Remember that last summer, for the first time ever, Gibraltarians voted with their British compatriots in the same EU election for the same candidates. Effectively, we were treated as part of the UK. That tremendously important precedent should now be extended to include our voting for representation in the UK Parliament as well as just for British MEP seats in Europe,” said Reformist Leader Lyana Armstrong-Emery.

She said that the British General Election this year should be the last one ever where the Rock is not included in the voting.
