Planners advised on Airport Safety

Air Safety Services International, a subsidiary of the Civil Aviation Authority has been in Gibraltar meeting with MoD, Government planners and developers to brief them on safety issues relating to building projects near the airport and other safety issues. The organisation advises the MoD and Captain Ramsey who has this responsibility for Gibraltar within the CAAhas been briefing on the latest UK approach to these issues.

The visit is at the Gibraltar Government's request. The advice relates to restrictions required on the height of buildings and structures that could interfere with aircraft safety.
